The Actual Trip (Part 7)

Charles Dowdell---Aug 8, 2003

Today we leave the James Bay region. It was more than I expected and we managed to do a lot in just a few days time. Normally I do not consider going back to a place, but in the case I thought about it. Maybe I could drive the Trans-Taiga next time.

Typical Tee Pee

We stopped at various places on the way back down through Canada. We stopped at the Eastmain river and it was easy to see that the river had been much larger at one time. It is now diverted up to the La Grande river area for hydro power.

What is left of the Eastmain river

We stopped at Val'dor again for the overnight as we passed through Quebec. It was lotof Driving but it was enjoyable driving. The odometer showed that we drove approximately 2500 miles on the trip in 6 days.
